The Consulate General of Republic of Seychelles supported the traditional charity initiative of the International Women’s Club in Sofia (IWC Sofia) – Charity Christmas Bazaar. The stand of the Seychelles at Inter Expo Center, where the Bazaar was held, stood out with bright decoration.
Many of the guests of the stand of Seychelles enjoyed the delicious Seychelles tea and with that also helped raising funds for financing the projects of the Charity foundation to the International Women’s Club – educational programs, programs for de-institutionalism and social integration, support people with disabilities, women and older people and also children without parents’ care. In order to collect more resources for the charity initiative, at the stand of Seychelles there were also exotic herbs, cards and photos of the beautiful islands, bracelets and accessories, souvenirs and, of course – the typical flower necklaces. The guests of the Bazaar had the unique opportunity to take a funny picture on the background of Seychelles beach. Maxim Behar, General Consul of Republic of Seychelles, was there himself and shared stories of the beautiful island with the visitors.
Queen Margarita Gomes-Asebo Sakskoburggotska and Angela Bird, President of International Women’s Club, opened the Bazaar and more than 50 different nationalities and 12 charity organizations took part in it with more than 67 stands, displaying also other initiatives of the Club. More than 1500 volunteers got involved in the event.
Many citizens and guests of Sofia visited the Charity Bazaar. Simeon Sakskoburggotski was also one of the guests of the bazaar.
